Beacon’s has been proven to show high resistance to the devastating Impatiens downy mildew that wiped out plants in 2012. Beacon is a six colour vibrant mix that grows stronger and shines longer in borders , baskets or containers. Half Hardy Annual Height 25-30cm (10-12in) Sow February to April Plant Out June Onwards Flowers June to September WHERE TO SOW Sow seed on the surface of a good free draining seed compost and lightly cover seeds with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or a warm place at a temperature of 20-25°C until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days. WHAT TO DO NEXT Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed 15-30cm (6-12") apart in borders or containers.
