Easy to grow, first year flowering hardy perennial producing attractive fruity colours. Attracts bees and butterflies. Height: 60-70cm (24-30") WHEN TO SOW February to May and September to October WHERE TO SOW Sow the seeds under cover onto the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Cover seed with a light sprinkling of compost or vermiculite and place at a temperature between 15-20°C (59-68°F). WHAT TO DO NEXT When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into pots or trays. Then gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed, 30cm (12") apart. For best results, grow in any ordinary, well drained soil in full sun. Overwinter autumn sown plants in a coldframe and plant out the following spring. Flowers July to September HANDY TIP Plant in groups of five plants to create a splash of summer colour. cut plants back in the autumn and they will return the following year.
