WHEN TO SOW February to March WHERE TO SOW Sow seed on the surface of good free draining seed compost and lightly cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. WHAT TO DO NEXT Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed, 15-30cm (6-12") apart. MATURITY June onwards HANDY TIP Dead head regularly to give an all summer display.
