Long spikes of large single flowers in a wide colour range ideal for adding height to borders. The hand shaped foliage shows some tolerance against rust. Hardy Perennial Height 150cm (60in). Sow January to March or July to September. Plant Out April to October. Flowers July to September (Following Year for later sowings). WHERE TO SOW Sow seed on the surface of the compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of vermiculite or finely sieved compost. Place in a propagator or in a warm place at around 15-20°C (59-68°F) until the seeds germinate. WHAT TO DO NEXT When seedlings are large enough to handle transplant each seedlings into individual pots or multi-cell tray. Plant out spring raised plants into a sunny border 45cm (18") apart. Late summer/ autumn raised plants can be over-wintered in a cold frame and planted out the following spring. HANDY TIP Plant towards the back of mixed borders to add height and interest in late summer.
