The medium length cylindrical roots make this variety ideal for slicing and easier to prepare than globe types. Excellent flavour with a rich red colour.
WHEN TO SOW March to July
WHERE TO SOW Sow thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm (½") deep with 30cm (12") between rows.
WHAT TO DO NEXT Thin the seedlings gradually as they grow to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4"). Do not transplant.
HARVEST June to October
HANDY TIP The roots hold for a good period before going woody . Ideal pulled and stored for winter use .
