Brokali Atlantis F1
This variety is a cross between broccoli and kale, which is why the spelling is as it is. Atlantis will produce small but well formed heads of delicious sweet green with long tender shoots and is a cross between Chinese and European Broccoli. Atlantis also has the potential to produce high yields of vegetables which will taste delicious simply boiled up.
WHEN TO SOW March to May
WHERE TO SOW Sow seeds thinly in a well prepared seed bed in shallow drills 1.5cm (1/2") deep in short rows. Alternatively sow the seeds thinly in seeds trays or two seeds per cell in modules under glass at 13°C.
WHAT TO DO NEXT Outdoor sowings should be thinned out to 7-10cm (3-4in) apart, then once plants are large enough, lifted and transplanted to their final planting positions 60cm (24in) apart and 90cm (36in) between the rows to grow on to maturity. As soon as glasshouse seedlings show their first pair of leaves, prick off into trays 5cm (2") apart or thin modules to one seedling per cell. Gradually harden off before planting out when about 15cm (6") tall to the same spacings as detailed above.
