An Italian favourite, with unusual pink and white rings when the roots are sliced. Has a lovely mild flavour and takes less time to cook when compared to other beetroots.

WHEN TO SOW March to July
WHERE TO SOW Sow thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm (½") deep with 30cm (12") between rows.
WHAT TO DO NEXT Thin the seedlings gradually as they grow to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4"). Do not transplant.
HARVEST June to October
HANDY TIP Keep roots moist throughout the growing season so they remain tender and succulent.
